Upon graduating from Duke University with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering and Economics and a Minor in Chemistry in 1996, Dr. Lin attended medical school at the University of Florida, receiving his MD in 2000. In 2006 he completed his residency in neurological surgery at Emory University.

Dr. Lin's practice is located at WellStar Kennestone in Marietta, though he is also a member of the Neurology and Neurosurgery team at Emory University Hospital, a team that was recently ranked 12th in its field by U.S. News & World Report.

His primary interest is in disorders of the spine and neurological trauma. He has special clinical and research interests in sports-related concussions and currently oversees the management of head and spinal injuries for Marietta High School Athletes, including overseeing the administration of the ImPACT test.  He is a member of the Cobb County Medical Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He serves as a board member of the Georgia Neurosurgical Society and actively contributes and advises the Georgia Concussion Coalition

    Dr. Matechak has been practicing family medicine and sports medicine for the past 11 years throughout the state of Georgia. Dr. Matechak officially opened Kennesaw Mountain Medical Group in February of 2009.  Our focus is to become the neighborhoods family physician, NOT a revolving door that treats patients as just a number.

After graduating with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Thomas Lintner received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He continued his general surgery and plastic surgery residency programs at Emory, which is considered one of the premier programs for this specialty in the country. He has written numerous articles and has given presentations in specialties of both general and plastic surgery and has also been published in national journals of medicine and surgery.

An avid sailor, Dr. Thomas Lintner is the proud father of four wonderful young men, three of whom graduated from Marietta High School, and resides with his wife and family in Marietta. He has been an active member of the staff at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for over 20 years. He is also member of the Cobb County Medical Society. Tom enjoys being on the sidelines as part of the medical team for MHS, where he’s cared for everything from simple lacerations to complex facial fractures and hand injuries.
