Nick Houstoulakis is entering his 9th season as a football coach at Marietta High School. He will coach the Defensive Backs for the Blue Devils. Coach H provides the foundations of our program’s ideals and does a wonderful job preparing these young men for Friday nights.
Coach Houstoulakis is a Physical Education/ Health Teacher at Marietta High School. He is entering his 8th season as the Head Boys Track & Field Coach and 3rd season as the Head Girls Track Coach at Marietta High School as well. Last spring the boys’ team won their 9th consecutive region championship as well as their 4th consecutive county championship and the girls’ team won their 3rd region championship in 4 years. Coach H was named the 2014 Cobb County Boys Track Coach of the Year. He coached two seasons of basketball at MHS with his last season as the Varsity Assistant Boys Basketball Coach in 2009 when our Blue Devils made a run into the Sweet 16.
Nick Houstoulakis earned his Bachelor’s degree at Eastern Michigan University in Physical Education & Health. Before moving to Georgia, he coached football, basketball and track at his alma mater, Livonia Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan. Coach H coached nine years of track there with the last 4 seasons as the head boys track coach. He coached eight years of football with the last five seasons working as the varsity special teams coordinator and running backs coach. He coached four season of basketball with the last three as the head boys JV basketball coach & varsity assistant coach.
He currently resides in Woodstock, GA with his wife Lynsly who is a reading teacher at Marietta Middle School. They have two daughters, Nikolette (5) and Ellyanna (Almost 3).
